Overview

Provides guidance on the Regulations which apply to all pipelines in Great Britain, territorial waters and the UK Continental Shelf and replaces earlier legislation with a more integrated, goal-setting, risk-based approach encompassing both onshore and offshore pipelines. Aimed at those who design, construct and operate pipelines for the conveyance of most fluids, those whose property pipelines cross, local authorities and the public who work or live in the vicinity of a pipeline. Contents: Citation and commencement; Interpretation; General; Major accident hazard pipelines; Certificates of Exemption; Repeals; Revocation and modification.
