A Guide to the Genetically Modified Organisms (Contained Use) Regulations 2000.

Overview

Provides practical guidance on legislation covering the contained use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It replaces the previous guidance published in 1992 as amended in 1996. These Regulations, and some further amending Regulations are incorporated in this guidance. The guide is aimed at managers and specialists in laboratories and industrial production plants which use genetically modified organisms, (GMOs); where measures need to be taken to limit contact between them and people or the environment. The guide explains what the law requires users of GMOs to do to ensure compliance.
