Overview

The Electricity at Work Regulations contain a number of provisions that apply to all industries including mining, plus some additional provisions that only apply to mines. This Code of Practice gives practical guidance on how the Regulations might be satisfied at mines. Duties for compliance are placed on employers, the self-employed, mine owners, mine managers, mine electrical engineers appointed under the Coal and Other Mines (Mechanics and Electricians) Regulations 1965, and employees.
