Overview

This version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) and guidance is a revision of that published in 1988. Its coverage has been extended to include a wider range of trucks. The general principles outlined can also be used as a guide in the training of operators of types not covered explicity. Set out in two parts, Part 1 advises on the basic training of lift-truck operators with supplementary advice given in Part 2.
