Overview

Advice on the prevention and mitigation of dust explosions and fires, acknowledging that frictional or attritional action on many everyday work materials can produce potentially combustible clouds. Notable examples include sugar, coal, wood, grain, certain metals and many synthetic organic chemicals. Addressed to employers, managers, foremen and safety representatives working in the many industries concerned. Describes, in non-specialist terms, the hazardous potential and common means to control the risk. Full documentation of the legal framework is included.
