Full Description
Biological monitoring is based on the analysis of aluminium in urine.
Urine samples (25 ml) should be collected at the end of shift in clean containers provided by the laboratory (to avoid contamination issues).
There is no GB biological monitoring guidance value for occupational exposure. Germany has a BAT value of 209 µmol/mol creatinine. Background levels of aluminium in unexposed persons are significant.
