Biological monitoring is based on the analysis of cobalt in urine.
Urine samples (25 ml) should be collected at the end of shift in clean containers provided by the laboratory (to avoid contamination issues).
There is no GB biological monitoring guidance value for occupational exposure. The US ACGIH has a BEI value of 20 µmol/mol creatinine.
